The Poloniny Trail is a cycling circuit located directly in the Poloniny National Park. The route is designed to connect picturesque Ruthenian villages in the Poloniny National Park and thus offer tourists not only natural beauty such as unique forests or wildlife watching, but also a rich cultural heritage such as wooden churches, traditional crafts and authentic experiences.
74Kilometres
of new, modernized or existing roads and routes make up the Poloniny trail cycling circuit.
10Rest areas
We plan to build 10 bicycle rest areas along the cycle path while preserving the traditional architecture.
4Observation towers
At 4 selected locations, we will build observation towers that will provide the most beautiful views of the NP territory.
The Poloniny trail is a pilot project of the Prešov self-governing region, the goal of which is to boost the tourist potential of the Poloniny National Park and the Snina district.
